SIMEX Bangladesh was involved in the Rajshahi WASA Surface Water Treatment Plant project, located in Rajshahi, Bangladesh, under the client Hunan Construction Engineering Group. This project required specialized river engineering works to support the construction of river intake structures and conveying pipeline systems. Since the work was carried out within an active river environment, maintaining safe construction access and controlling water flow were major requirements. SIMEX Bangladesh provided temporary cofferdam solutions to create a protected working zone, allowing the project team to carry out intake and pipeline-related works with improved safety, stability, and efficiency.
As an experienced cofferdam contractor in Bangladesh, SIMEX Bangladesh delivered engineering support, installation planning, and site execution for temporary sheet pile cofferdam construction. The project scope included intake and conveying pipe cofferdam construction, temporary sheet pile installation, steel sheet pile driving and handling, access bridge foundation support, fabrication and installation support, and marine construction assistance. SIMEX also supported the preparation of heavy construction access platforms, which were essential for equipment movement, material handling, and safe working operations near the river intake area.
The successful completion of this project highlighted SIMEX Bangladesh’s ability to handle technically demanding river and marine construction works under challenging site conditions. By using proper temporary water exclusion systems, sheet pile cofferdam methods, and planned construction access support, SIMEX helped maintain construction continuity throughout the project. This work demonstrates SIMEX Bangladesh’s capability in delivering reliable cofferdam, river intake, and marine construction support for large-scale water infrastructure projects across Bangladesh.
